LEVEL 2 - DEJA VU ...

HEALTH & SAFETY UPDATE

We are over the moon about opening and we’ve been busy getting the gym ready for your return.

We ask that every member and staff member takes responsibility for their personal hygiene, and also respects the level 2 physical distancing and new health and safety guidelines. Please don’t be offended if our team advise that you are not able to work out because you are not following the required health and safety guidelines, e.g. if you are sick (showing Covid-19 symptoms)

We are doing everything we can to implement and maintain the correct protocols. If you feel that they have been breached or there are other areas that need to be addressed please contact the reception team or Casey at
casey@shanecameron.co.nz

LEVEL 2 GYM UPDATE
Our classes now have restricted numbers and you’ll need to work out in your own specific area. These areas will be clearly marked with red tape.
  • Minimum physical distancing of 1.5m when you are working out and in the weights and cardio area.
  • Minimum physical distancing of 1m at reception and pre/post workout.
  • We’ll have more sanitisation stations to make it easy to clean equipment and sanitise your hands after class
  • Additional equipment cleaning and sanitising of high use areas e.g. door handles
  • Our shared water station will be switched off in Level 2.
  • Members must bring their own (full) water bottle or purchase one at reception.
  • Workout towels - every member must use a sweat towel while working out. These are now available for purchase at reception if you forget.

ADDITIONAL COVID 19 - HEALTH AND SAFETY FORM:

This is a one-off and needs to be done before your first Level 2 workout on or after 31st August 2020
To make it easy and decrease congestion at reception we ask that you fill in the form on our website prior to your first training session. Our reception team will then update your member profile and you’ll be good to go!

Here's what you need to do when you are coming to the gym for a workout:
  • Make sure you’ve filled out the new Health and Safety Form (preferably online through our website, before first visit only).
  • Book your class through the SCF website booking system
  • Make sure you have a full drink bottle and sweat towel every workout.
  • You MUST swipe your membership card on arrival (even if you have booked a class).
  • Sanitise your hands on arrival.
  • Put your bag in the red shelves or use the lockers.
  • Find a boxing bag or space in the WarriorFit mats area. That’s YOUR area for the workout.
  • Check out what equipment is needed for the class, and put it in your square/area - that's your equipment for the workout.
  • If you are using dumbells, barbells or kettlebells etc on the carpet, you must sit them on a black mat during workout to protect the carpet.
  • Have fun, greet ya mates but please no high fives, hugs or physical contact.
  • After your class wipe down your equipment with the spray provided.

GYM FAQS

ARE YOU DOING ANY EXTRA CLEANING?
Yes. We have increased our standard cleaning schedule to fit the Level 2 guidelines. We also ask that members wipe down equipment after every use as well.

WHAT ARE THE PHYSICAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES AT SCF?

Minimum physical distancing of 1.5m when you are working out in classes and in the weights and cardio area. Minimum physical distancing of 1m at reception and pre/post workout.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT THE FIRST TIME BACK?
Many of our members have shared with us that they can’t wait to get back into the gym, so we are expecting it to be busy.

Please make sure you book your classes to avoid disappointment.
It's super easy and takes less than a minute.
Please note that to book classes you can ONLY BE LOGGED IN FROM 1 DEVICE AT A TIME.
Best to log in on your phone so you don't get caught out

NEED TO CANCEL A CLASS?

Please do so with at least 12 hours notice to give others the chance to book in. You don't wanna be that guy that books up all the classes and doesn't turn up, then people are on a waitlist but don't get notified because you didn't take yourself out of the system.

WILL THE CHANGING ROOMS BE OPEN?
Yes.

WHY ISN'T THE WATER FOUNTAIN WORKING?
During Level 2 we have been advised not to use the water fountain for health and safety reasons. Please bring a full drink bottle or purchase one at reception.

WHAT PROTOCOLS DO STAFF HAVE TO FOLLOW?
Essentially the same as our members. Our staff have been updated on all of the new protocols, including staying home when sick.

CLASSES AND GYM FLOOR FAQs

WILL THERE BE CLASS NUMBER LIMITS?
Yes. There are currently 19 boxing bags available per class.
There are currently 18-22 spaces available per class for WarriorFit and Rahfit (day/time dependant).

DO I HAVE TO BOOK TO USE THE WEIGHTS AND CARDIO AREA?
No. Based on pre-lockdown usage we have ample space for our members to workout in that area without specific restricted numbers. Please just be mindful and respectful of others in the area

WILL YOU BE PROVIDING BOXING GLOVES AND WRAPS?
No. During Level 2 we will not be providing boxing gloves and wraps. Please bring your own or purchase some at reception. This includes the kids classes.

WHERE DO I GET THE LATEST INFO ABOUT COVID-19?
Find everything you need to know at: www.covid19.govt.nz

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19?
The Ministry of Heath lists symptoms of COVID-19 as one or more of the following:
- a cough
- a high temperature (at least 38°C)
- shortness of breath
- sore throat
- sneezing and runny nose
- temporary loss of smell

These symptoms do not necessarily mean you have COVID-19. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.

WHAT DO I DO IF I START FEELING SICK?
  • Contact your doctor or the Covid-19 health line 0800 358 5453.
  • Do not come to the gym until you are cleared by a Health Professional.
